John St. James has been involved in leadership-training for over 45 years. John attained his bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1984 from the University of California, San Diego and later an advanced degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the American Institute in 1986. Having started his teaching and speaking career early, John was already a certified leadership and martial arts instructor by age 18.
In addition to being an expert in leadership training, John is also considered an expert in personal development through his unique style of teaching leadership skills. John worked for years as a training specialist with State Farm Insurance at their corporate headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois, where he was responsible for producing management-training programs and seminars. John also served on the State Farm Federation Credit Union (GA office) board of Directors for nearly two and half years.
Mr. St. James also oversees two public, nonprofit charities as President and CEO. In this capacity, John helps at-risk and disadvantaged children and adults learn the essential life skills necessary for happiness and fulfillment. Having received his 8th-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do (traditional Korean Karate), John remains very active in the martial arts field, overseeing an international organization as a CEO and Board Chair where he actively teaches seminars, clinics, symposiums, and camps all over the United States and abroad.
A gifted speaker, Mr. St. James is an international certified speaker, coach, and mentor with the John Maxwell Team and is also a certified leadership coach with the APTSDF, conducting leadership training in the USA, the UK, Australia, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, John enjoys skiing, hiking and various sports as well as his passion for writing and world travel. John currently resides in Flowery Branch, GA.
